Transient response of a coolant channel to power variations, the computer program RHDK
Description
The paper starts with a brief survey of the literature of the two-region problem of a single heater cooled from the outside by a fluid. After that the transfer functions of the temperatures are derived analytically by help of Laplace transformation. It is shown that the results have the same form for heaters of tube, rod and slab geometry. To evaluate the system response to a step schange in heating power by help of inverse Laplace transformation the computer program RHDK has been written. The last part of the paper contains the description of this code. (Sz.N.Z.)
