Higher-order σ-model counterterms and the effective action for superstrings

Description
We construct candidate counterterms for (2,2) supersymmetric σ-models at all loop orders, and discuss the corresponding modifications to the field equations and supersymmetry transformations of the massless string modes. We also construct the effective action applicable to arbitrary spacetime dimensions corresponding to the four-loop σ-model β-function contribution. (orig.)
