Description
The second volume of the reports of the Conference on the Heavy liquid-metal coolants (HLMC) in the nuclear technologies is presented. The second volume contains the reports, presented in the sections B and C: 1) the perspective projects and 2) the results of the scientific research and development works on substantiating the HLMC application. The basic problems discussed in the section B are as follows: the study on the fast reactors with the Pb-Bi and Pb-HLMC and prospects of their application with an account of the experience of the fast reactors with the Pb-HLMC operation on the nuclear submarines. The results of studies on the technological and material science problems, related to the HLMC application by developing new reactors with improved safety, were discussed in the section C
