Description
Linear alkyl benzene based liquid scintillator is a new type of scintillator which has low toxicity, low volatility, chemical inertness and high flash point. After several years' study and characterization, the liquid scintillator has low absorption, high light yield, long-term stability and good pulse discrimination. The low costing made it suitable for large volume detector. If loaded with metal such as Gd or Nd, the scintillator can be used for neutron and neutrino detection. (authors)
