Noncompact-group model for quasimolecular nuclei
Description
A noncompact-group model, SO(3,1) x SO(2,1), for describing the quasimolecular nuclei is proposed. It is applied to the study of the resonance spectra of the 12C+12C and 12C+16O reactions. By removing the cutoff effect and by incorporating the rotation-vibration coupling, this model shows better agreement with the experimental data at comparatively high-lying levels
