Anti-tumour action of 64Cu-bleomycin on Ehrlich ascites tumour cells in vivo

Description

The anti-tumor action of the complex of Bleomycin (BLM) with high specific-radioactivity 64Cu on Ehrlich ascites tumour (EAT) was studied in vivo. The 64Cu-BLM was administered into intraperitoneal cavity of mice from 1 to 4 days after inoculation of EAT cells. The effect of 64Cu-BLM to suppress the tumour growth as demonstrated by prolonging life span was observed. The amounts of 64Cu-BLM (800 μCi-8 mg/Kg) were administered at 4, 8 and 16 times separately. Then, the shorter the time interval and the less the amounts of drugs at a time, the higher the suppressing effect for the tumour growth was. It was confirmed that anti-tumour action of 64Cu-BLM was in all the cases higher than that of BLM alone. (author)
