Occupational exposure in the UK
Description
Over the past few decades the number of radiation workers has increased, due mainly to the development of the nuclear power industry, and during the last two decades annual doses have decreased as a result of efforts to reduce radiation exposure. In recent years, occupational exposure from natural radiation has been recognised as a significant source of avoidable exposure for a large number of workers. (author)
