Gas-cooled nuclear reactor with an absorber device

Description

The absorber rod consists of a chain of individual elements hanging on one another. Each individual element is manufactured as a cylinder with top plates and a double jacket made of graphite, beta aluminium or silicon dioxide. The individual elements are held together by bolts. There are support bars inside the individual elements, which are welded or screwed to the two top plates. (DG)

Abstract (German)

Der Absorberstab besteht aus einer Kette aneinandergehaengter Einzelelemente. Jedes Einzelelement ist als Zylinder mit Deckplatten und Doppelmantel aus Graphit, Betaaluminium oder Siliziumdioxid gefertigt. Die Einzelelemente werden durch Bolzen zusammengehalten. Innerhalb der Einzelelemente verlaufen Tragestangen, die mit den beiden Deckplatten verschweisst oder verschraubt sind. (DG)
