Double decoupling in doubly odd deformed nuclei: Structure of 186Ir
- 1. Departamento de Fisica, Comision Nacional de la Energia Atomica, 1429 Buenos Aires, Argentina
Description
An analytical characterization of the conditions for double decoupling in doubly odd deformed nuclei is given within the framework of the rotational mode. The stimulus for this investigation originates in the observation of a band in 186Ir, which is possibly the first case where such a coupling scheme is realized
