Description

After the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident, there are growing needs for measurement of radioactive cesium in environmental substances such as foodstuff or soil. Therefore measuring in short time with low cost has ben required. We have developed the new type measurement system using a signal restoration technology to improve the ability of radioactivity analysis of Sodium Iodide scintillator. As a result, we have achieved short time measurement of one-tenth compared with germanium detector, and have also realized low costs. In this paper, the developed technology and the results of field test in Fukushima prefecture are described. (author)
