Synthesis of 1-methyl- and 1-phenyl-closo-B12H11-2 by cross-combination of 1-I-closo-B12H11-2 with methyl- and phenylzinc chlorides catalyzed by palladium complexes

Description
After long-time boiling of reactive mixture consisting of [NR4]2 [1-I-closo-B12H11] and MeZnCl or PhZnCl (R = n-C4H3; Me = CH3; Ph C6H5) in tetrahydrofuran solution in the presence of (PPh3)4Pd as a catalyst the salts [NR4]2 [1-Me-closo-B12H11] (1) and [NR4]2 [1-Ph-closo-B12H11] (2) were synthesized. Chemical yield of salts 1 and 2 was 54 and 76% respectively. The salts synthesized are crystal high-melting compounds, their composition and individuality being confirmed by data of element analysis and thin-layer chromatography

При длительном кипячении реакционной смеси, состоящей из [NR4]2 [1-I-клозо-B12H11] и MeZnCl или PhZnCl (R = н-C4H3; Me = CH3; Ph C6H5), в растворе тетрагидрофурана в присутствии (PPh3)4Pd в качестве катализатора синтезированы соли [NR4]2 [1-Me-клозо-B12H11] (1) и [NR4]2 [1-Ph-клозо-B12H11] (2). Химический выход солей 1 и 2 составил 54 и 76% соответственно. Полученные соли представляют собой кристаллические высокоплавкие соединения, их состав и индивидуальность подтверждены данными элементного анализа и тонкослойной хроматографииAdditional details
