Description
In order to make ANKA more competitive with bigger and more expensive storage rings a novel superconductive undulator system was developed for ANKA and successfully tested with beam at the beginning of 2005. The development of the superconductive undulator began several years ago in collaboration with the Institute for Technical Physics at the Research Center Karlsruhe (ITP). The prototype tested at ANKA was developed together with an industrial partner (ACCEL Instr. GmbH). (orig.)
