Forcasting of durability of metals under high-cycle loading
Description
The most significant peculiarities of fatigue crack gropagation in the range of high values of stress intensity factors are considered. An attempt is made to formulate a model, giving a possibility to compare the critical Values of stress intensity factors at static (Ksub(Isub(c))), dynamic (Ksub())) and cyclic (Ksub(fc)) loadings for different material classes (15Kh2MFA, 10GN2MFA steels, carbon steels, titanium alloys). It is concluded, that Ksub(fc) value corresponding to the final crack jump should be used as a characteristic of the limiting state of samples with cracks under cyclic loading. Relation of this value with Ksub(Isub(c))) and Ksub(Dsub(c)) is determined by a material fracture mechanism
