Second order effect of a high-β tokamak equilibrium
Description
Axisymmetric sharp-boundary toroidal equilibria with high pressure are investigated to the second order in the inverse aspect ratio expansion. As far as the equilibrium model with uniform current and parabolic high pressure is concerned, the critical poloidal-β value including the second order effect is greater than the value estimated from the first order high-β solution.
