Photoferromagnetic effect in CdCr2Se4 magnetic semiconductor

Description

Photoferromagnetic effect (PFE) in CdCr2Se4 which consists in light-induced dynamic magentic susceptibility reduction is studied. The effect was found to be spectral selective with a maximum in the vicinity of 1 μm. Photoconductivity and PFE spectra study allows to determine the correlation between the PFE spectrum maximum and the photoconductivity spectrum maximum undergoing the strong low-energy shift at reacting of the magnetic ordering. The influence of different doping types on the PFE spectrum, aplitude and relaxation time is studied. The PFE is shown to be due to domain wall pinning on photoinduced centers
