The equilibria between TLA in toluene and mixtures of HCl - H2SO4
Description
The extraction of hydrochloric and sulphuric acid from their mixture by tri-n-dodecyl amine in toluene was studied. The equilibria were investigated at high acid concentrations so that only amine bisulphate and chloride were formed in the organic solution. They were characterized by the stability constant ratios of the above salts. The stability constant ratios obtained at low total acid concentrations do not correspond to those obtained at high ones.
