Phase transitions and bounds on Higgs-boson masses
Description
Upper bounds on the critical temperature are found in terms of the Higgs boson mass in SU(N) and SU(2) x U(1) gauge theories. Also an upper bound on the Higgs boson mass as a function of the supercooling ratio is found provided quantum tunneling is not sufficient to complete the phase transition from a symmetric phase to a broken phase
