Description
The ternary system Na2WO4-Rb2WO4-WO3 has been studied by X-ray phase and differential thermal analyses. Ten nonvariant points have been observed in the system, two of which are ternary eutectic and the rest - transitional. The interaction has been established between the initial components of the system on crystallization from melts with the formation of new coordination compounds of the isopolytungstate type. Na2WO4x3Rb2WO4x6WO3 and 8Na2WO4x11Rb2WO4xWO3 with incongruent nature of the melting process. The composition region has been found suitable for producing sodium-rubidium tungsten bronzes Nasub(x)Rbsub(y)WOsub(3) by electrolysis from the melts. Some properties of the bronzes obtained by electrolysis have been studied
