Simulation of bifunctiopal electrochemical system
Description
The composition and structure of a cathode film is investigated for a possible obtaining of a purposeful process of partial or complete electric reduction of metal ions (Cr, Ni, Mo, W). Products of incomplete reduction of a respective metal are used as the model of the film. Methods of chemical, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analyses and IR-spectroscopy have been applied to establish that the products of incomplete reduction consist of a zero-valent metal and oxide-hydroxide compounds of its lower valent-states. To determine the electrolysis technological parameters, the conductivity of electrolytic systems in the 20-160 deg C temperature range is investigated. It is shown that the lower electric resistance of the system is, the higher is the current efficiency
