Plasma parameter estimates for Wendelstein VII-X

Creators

Description

For predicting plasma parameters in Wendelstein VII-X two methods are available: Scaling laws of global plasma parameters and the TEMPL-code which calculates temperature and density profiles. Global energy confinement times τE can be also on the assumption of neoclassical confinement and can be also based on the empirical scaling law established by the LHS-team: τE=0.17 anti n0.69B0.84P-0.58a2R0.75, where anti n is the line density, B is the magnetic field, P the heating power. The minor and major radii are a and R, respectively. The units are 1020 m-3, T, MW, m. (orig.)
