Description

The electrical discharge machining commonly used nonconventional machining process for making dies. TheH11 die steels are commonly used for making forging and casting dies. In the present research, the effect of Al2O3 powder in de-ionized water as dielectric fluid, pulse on time, current, voltage on metal removal rate (MRR) have been investigated. The result shows that MRR increases with increase in pulse on time and current. Also, The MRR increases with the presence of Al2O3 powder in de-ionized water. (paper)
