Optical properties of Sm3Ga5O12 single crystals in the 4-27 eV region
Description
Reflectivity spectra and optical functions of Sm3Ga5O12 single crystals have been investigated in the 4-27 eV region. A complex structure of the fundamental absorption is found. It is similar to the known spectra of Nd3Ga5O12 and Gd3Ga5O12. Peculiarities of electron spectra for Sm3Ga5O12 single crystals in the range of 4-27 eV correlate with the character of unusual photoconductivity of rare earth garnets previously detected in the visible region
