Quark degree of freedom of hadronic matter and turbulent dynamics of Yang-Mills fields

Description

The effect of the quark degree of freedom of hadronic matter on the turbulent dynamics of SU(2) Yang-Mills fields is studied by the method of maximum Lyapunov exponents. It is shown that, like a Higgs condensate, static quarks stabilize Yang-Mills fields. Dynamical quarks weaken this stabilizing effect, as Higgs particles do, but quarks affect the dynamics of Yang-Mills fields to a much lesser extent than Higgs particles. The behavior of a quark-gluon system at nonzero temperatures and when it is quantized, as well as the role of quarks in the development of turbulence of Yang-Mills fields, is discussed. Analysis of these issues may contribute to the validation of the Anderson model of color confinement and the bifurcation model of multiparticle hadron production
