Description

Studies were made to elucidate a possibility of radiometric control of the density of transported materials using fast neutrons. Correlations are obtained providing the optimization of control parameters both in quasi-static and in dynamic operating conditions. Elaborated is an installation for density control of the pulp being transported along a pipeline and providing the accuracy of density determination of 1% at the deviation of wall thickness up to 10% in steel pipelines of 100 mm diameter and 3 mm wall thickness
