The BioNGV retrofit White Paper
Description
The White Paper on bioNGV retrofitting identifies various use cases and the measures to be implemented to support the sector's development. It is accompanied by a complementary study on the life cycle assessment of retrofitted vehicles, piloted by the ADEME. From light commercial vehicles to coaches, trucks and passenger cars... focusing on road vehicles, the White Paper does not impose retrofitting as a model that applies to everything, but highlights different situations where it is particularly relevant. Based on these criteria, three types of vehicle are of particular interest: Light commercial vehicles requiring access to Low-emission zones with a Crit'Air 1 sticker, and for which electric does not meet the needs of the use case under consideration. School buses operating within Low-emission zones. Heavy duty vehicles with expensive equipment: refrigerated trucks, construction site approach trucks (concrete mixer, crane, road cleaner, on-road, etc.) with particularly long amortization periods, etc. In addition, the White Paper has drawn up a points-based analysis grid to help craftsmen and hauliers make the right choices. Taking various criteria into account, it provides an initial answer to the question of whether or not to opt for a retrofit solution. Each answer corresponds to a certain number of points, giving a final score with four levels of interpretation
