Description
Various applications of neutron activation techniques for geological and mineral prospecting are outlined briefly. Fundamental principles of the interaction of neutrons with matter and the relevant measurement techniques are summarized. Some particular projects in raw materials research, like hydrocarbon fuel research, coal prospecting, water resources prospecting, and neutron logging for mineral resource prospecting are described.
