Magnetic phase diagram of Ce0.5La0.5B6 under high pressure
Creators
Description
The magnetization of single crystalline Ce0.5La0.5B6 along the [1 0 0] direction was measured under high pressure (P=0 and 1.2 GPa) and high magnetic fields (B≤15 T). Magnetic anomalies due to phase transitions were observed in magnetization process and the temperature dependence of the magnetization. The magnetic phase diagram of Ce0.5La0.5B6 consisting of phases I-IV was determined at P=0 and 1.2 GPa from the anomalies. The region of phase II (quadrupolar phase) is expanded uniformly by the application of high pressure, while those of phases III and IV are reduced
