A cold non-equilibrium rf-discharge plasma in humid air
Description
It is proposed to use water vapors for the air plasma cooling and for the regulation of its decay velocity. On the base of determined plasma cooling regularities the main principles of the long-living plasma structures forming are considered. It has been shown that the process of plasma decay velocity decreasing occurs most efficiently at the air humidity of 95--98%. The most important parameters of the cold non-equilibrium plasma have been measured. The correlation has been revealed between the decreasing of plasma temperature and the increasing of its density, and, also, between the slowing of plasma decay and the deformation of excited hydrogen atoms velocity distribution. The calculations have been fulfilled on the base of Balmer spectral lines. The time of plasma decay dependence on the air humidity is shown
