Calculation of the stress-intensity factors for structure surface cracks. Communication 2
Description
Expressions of stress intensity factors have been derived for semielliptic cracks under bending in a rotating disk, in a pressure- and temperature-loaded pipe and in the zone of the pressure vessel nozzle as well. For rather small relative crack size, good agreement is observed between the formulas suggested and the known results of a numeric solution of three-dimensional problems of elasticity
