Description
The exact irradiation planning if of main importance in radiation therapy. It comprises the following steps: localization of the tumour, fixing and description of the target volume, fixing and description of the risk areas and fixing the upper limit dose permissible here, setting-up of an individual body cross-section, fixing the dose in the target volume and the time-dose distribution (medical-biological irradiation planning) and selection of the kind of radiation and quality, as well as determining and fixing the irradiation method and the spacial dose distribution (physical-technical irradiation planning). The methods of locating the tumour, the medical-biological irradiation planning and the performance of the irradiation are briefly described. Finally the utilization of data processing systems in irradiation planning are explained in detail. (MG)
Abstract (German)
Der exakten Bestrahlungsplanung kommt in der Strahlentherapie eine zentrale Bedeutung zu. Sie umfasst folgende Schritte: Klaerung der Tumolokalisation, Festsetzung und Beschreibung des Zielvolumens, Festlegung und Beschreibung von Risikobereichen und die Festsetzung der hier zugelassenen oberen Grenzdosen, Erstellung eines individuellen Koerperquerschnitts, Festsetzung der Dosis om Zielvolumen und der zeitlichen Dosisverteilung (medizinisch-biologische Bestrahlungsplanung) und Auswahl der Strahlenart und -qualitaet sowie Ermittlung und Festsetzung der Bestrahlungsmethode und der raeumlichen Dosisverteilung (physikalisch-technische Bestrahlungsplanung). Die Methoden der Tumorlokalisation, die medizinisch-biologische Bestrahlungsplanung und die Durchfuehrung der Bestrahlung werden kurz beschrieben. Abschliessend wird noch ausfuehrlich der Einsatz von Datenverarbeitungsanlagen in der Bestrahlungsplanung erlaeutert. (MG)Additional details
