The book on 'The Standard Model and Beyond' contains the lectures given at the 16th British Universities' Summer School in Theoretical Elementary Particle Physics, sponsored by the Science and Engineering Research Council, and held in Durham, 1986. The lectures are aimed at students of theoretical particle physics who had just completed their first year of research. The lecture topics include:- gauge theory methods, lattice gauge theory, unified gauge theory, supersymmetry, strings and superstrings, and aspects of experimental particle physics. (UK)
