Description
This paper describes a method for measuring beam quality by using a two-phosphor system. Using the relation between the ratios of the TL responses of CaSO4 (Tm) powder and LiF (Mg, Ti) chips with a widely different mass energy absorption coefficient and the effective energy of the incident beam, a curve is obtained. Thus the effective energy of the incident beam in diagnostic X-ray procedure or in radio therapy treatment can be evaluated. In addition, the energy of scattered radiation can be determined by this way
