Prominence oscillations with account for active region heating

Description
The oscillations of prominence suspended on magnetic field lines at the tops of coronal magnetic arches, including the active region heating effect are investigated. It has been shown that the heating leads to a decrease of the oscillation period. Such a temperature dependence of the oscillations can be applied for active region plasma temperature diagnostics using pre-flare variations of the solar X-ray and microwave emission
