Several special phenomena and problems occurred on SMCAMS during its development, such as electric field penetration, the influence of vacuum condition on the stability of transmission efficiency and the precision of isotopic ratio measurements, space charge effects and X ray backgrounds etc. were introduced. The solutions based on many observation and experiments have been obtained within the last few years
