Description

A new method for the production of fluorine-18 gas from a cyclotron, using two targets with conically shaped target chambers has been investigated. Both a nickel and a gold-plated aluminium target chamber were tested using one-step and two-step irradiation protocols. The two-step protocol using the nickel target chamber proved to be the most reliable source of fluorine-18
