Phase diagram of iron-molybdenum-tungsten system at 900 deg C
Description
Methods of microstructural, X-ray diffraction and durometric analyses are used to investigate phase equilibria in the iron-molybdenum-tungsten system at 900 deg C. It is established that Fe7Mo6 and Fe7W6 compounds, as well as Fe2Mo and Fe2W, form a continuous series of solid solutions which is proved by the smooth alterations of alloys hardness along an isoconcentration line connecting appropriate intermetallic compounds
