In this interview, Jean-Louis Bal, Chairman of the French Renewable Energies Association (SER), expresses his viewpoint concerning the French and European energy policies and in particular concerning the share of renewable energy sources in the 2020 prospects. Different aspects of these policies are debated: the impact of the development of renewable energies on power generation and electricity prices, the French policy of photovoltaic energy development, the problem of electricity storage, the development of solar projects in the Mediterranean area, and the employment in France in relation with the renewable energy industries.
