Description

A brief survey is given of experimental methods of finding the magnetic monopole. The basic ideas of the Dirac theory are listed, the basic experiments are principally characterized and the results thereof are tabulated. The latest experiments carried out on the Serpukhov synchrotron are described. (I.W.)
