Time variation of the H2O maser and infrared continuum in late-type stars

  • 1. E. O. Hulburt Center for Space Research, Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, D.C.

Description

Time variations in the microwave H2O emission from late-type stars are shown to be periodic and are correlated with optical and infrared variations. The microwave variability may result from changes in the maser pump rate induced by changes in the infrared flux. Subject headings: infrared - late-type stars - masers
