Computed tomography of the scapula

  • 1. Hamburg Univ. (Germany, F.R.). Abt. fuer Roentgendiagnostik

Description

Twenty eight patients with bony lesions involving the scapula were investigated by CT. Three different patient positions were tested for optimal visualisation of the scapula. An asymmetric patient positioning is recommended. CT is of value in the management of lesions involving the scapula and in the demonstration of the extent of the tumour within bone and adjacent soft tissue. (orig.)
