Significance of momentum correlations in low density heavy-ion collisions

  • 1. Dept. of Physics, Panjab Univ., Chandigarh (India)

Description

The characteristic part of heavy-ion collisions is to study the equation of state (EOS) of nuclear matter. At a particular incident energy, the density reached in a reaction is decided by the impact parameter. Thus impression of momentum dependence of interaction among nucleons can not be neglected in such a study. The correlations among nucleons are to be reflected by the number of binary collisions. We aim to shed light on same problem. For this study, we follow quantum molecular dynamics model (QMD)
