Calibration of low energy photon detectors for microbeam PIXE analysis
Creators

Description
A low photon energy variable geometry gas flow proportional counter and a Si(Li) semiconductor detector are intercalibrated for use in proton induced X-ray emission analysis with a proton microbeam facility. From the ratio of photopeak counts, for the two detectors in situ, and theoretical calculations, the Si(Li) detector efficiency below approx. equal to2.3 keV is obtained. (orig.)
