Front end shielding lay-out
Description
The smallest volume of shielding is obtained when the whole shield is concentrated immediately around the target. This allows placement of several targets in an experimental hall and sharing of the existing radioactive ion beams between different beam analyzers. An example of a practical lay-out based on M. Nitschke's front end scheme is given
