Changes in nuclear shape and size of Ra and U isotopes

Description
Some characteristics of long chains of the radium and uranium isotopes with 208<=A<=238 have been theoretically analysed. The calculated variations of the mean square charge radii and quadrupole moments of the nuclei agree well with the experimental data. (author)
