Investigation of Cd-Se system thermodynamical properties

Description
Thermodynamic properties (Gibbs energy, enthalpy, formation entropy, and the absolute entropy) of gadolinium selenides with semiconducting properties are studied for the first time by the method of e.m.f. in the temperature range of 320-440 K. All experimental e.m.f. data for the alloys of every phase field are processed by the method of the least squares. Relative stabilities of gadolinium selenides are calculated on the basis of the data on the Gibbs energies and compared with their melting temperatures
