Superconducting turbogenerators: status and trends
Description
The paper concerns turbogenerators with superconducting field winding. Basic design and construction features; engineering and manufacturing problems in the development; and technical and economic benefits; are all discussed. The present status of the development programmes throughout the world is outlined, with particular emphasis on the German programme. (U.K.)
