Investigation of elastic and inelastic scattering of 14-MeV-neutrons on barium

Description
Experimental data of neutron cross-sections are important for the verification of reaction models by comparing the results with theoretical calculations. Cross-sections for elastic and inelastic scattering of 14-MeV-neutrons on barium were measured for energies greater 4 MeV and angles between 20 and 130 degrees using the time-of-flight technique. The comparison between experimental results and theoretical computations using optical model, coupled-channel and statistical model calculations showed rather good agreement. (auth.)
