Simulation of a regulation system under conditions of an unforeseen power reduction in an RBMK reactor

Description

In creating an overcompensation system it is necessary to determine the number and distribution of overcompensation (OC) rods relative to the rods of the regulating system, as well as signals which will actuate them. This paper solves these problems for the example of an eight-zone LAR-SIC system (local automatic regulators working from the side ionization chambers). The obtained computed dependence of the dispersion of the residual deformation of the energy liberation field after the perturbation on indicated changes in the parameters are shown. In order to determine the necessary efficiency which the LAR-SIC systems with the OC rods must have for normal emergency controlled power reduction, the authors carried out calculations using a two-dimensional spatial-dynamic nonlinear digital model of the RBMK-1000 reactor, realized on the BESM-6 computer. The results are presented. An algorithm was selected for the operation of the OC rods
