The 33. LARD days from October 13 to October 14, 2016 in Besancon

This document contains the contributions presented during a LARD (associated radio-physics and dosimetry laboratories) meeting held in Besancon in 2016. These contributions address the following issues: The calibration of measurement instruments; Monte Carlo simulation and experimental measurements by scintillating optic fibre for the dose calculation of CT scan examinations; EASY PTRAC, reading and exploitation of the MCNP PTRAC; Correction of detection efficiency at low energies by MC simulation in response to the self-absorption problem in γ spectrometry; Micro-dosimetry by Monte Carlo simulation for the calculation of the RBE (relative biological efficiency) of beams of protons and carbon ions; Radio-immunotherapy dosimetry studies performed by Monte Carlo simulation; Calculation of energy deposits within a population of cells in 3D by using CPOP and Geant4; Exposure of plasmid DNA to low energy electrons and to ultra-soft X rays; Objective comparison of spatial resolution and low-contrast detection by using different clinic protocols; Quality control and in vivo dosimetry by portable imagery.
