Vibrational spectra of spinels of CdMIn2O5, CdM'InO4(M=Mg, Zn; M'=Al, Sc, Ga) and CdBaIn4O8 composition

Description

By the method of vibrational spectroscopy compounds of the composition CdMIn2O5, CdM'InO4 (M=Mg, Zn; M'=Ga, Sc, Al) and CdBaIn4O8, crystallized in spinel structural type, have been investigated. On the basis of comparison of spectra for the whole group of compounds and isotopic shifts in the frequencies (106Cd→116Cd, 24Mg→26Mg, 64Zn→70Zn) vibrational regions of metal polyhedrons included in the structure of the oxides investigated are ascertained and coordination numbers of each cation are determined
